Arbonne Beauty Edit

Following mine and Christies second Arbonne Event, I thought I would do a review of the products I got samples of and actually went ahead and bought the foundation and setting powder.

The event itself was actually kind of boring because it turned out to be exactly the same as the one we attended back in June, you can see about that day here.

This time I bought along a couple of tubs to get some samples and we also each received a sample of the Primer and It's a Long Story Mascara. I managed to get a sample of the Perfecting Liquid Foundation in Honey Beige and the Translucent Loose Powder, both of which I purchased after a few days of trying them out because I was so impressed with the finish and feel.

The Primer retails for £29.00 and is very luxurious. The texture is a bit like the bareMinerals primer, and glides on seamlessly creating a smooth base.

It's a Long Story Mascara retails for £28.00 and has such a cute little saying on the lid, "It's a Long Story Mascara, it's a Long Story". The Brush is angled creating a perfect application for the upper lashes, however does make it fairly difficult to apply to the lower lashes without getting it all over yourself. The formula it's self is really nice and lasts a long time whilst also being highly pigmented. It does help to give the appearance of longer lashes.

Perfecting Liquid Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15, retails for £34.00. As I said above, I got a sample of Honey Beige which is a slightly darker colour than the standard Ivory and has yellow undertones, perfect for me. This helps to lift the appearance of facial contours and create a smooth and even skin tone. I did find this to be very luxurious and covered all my imperfections so well. Arbonne have also created their makeup to create a flawless and picture ready face, excellent for those that like a selfie or two. The wear time is incredible too and blends so easily with a buffing brush. This foundation is created with polypeptides which contain skin conditioning amino acids, ribose which helps diminish the appearance of wrinkles.

The Setting Pretty Translucent Loose Powder Broad Spectrum SPF 15, R.R.P £28.00. This is a slightly sparkly powder, however when applied you can't really tell. It really does help too set your makeup in place and create a flawless finish. I did find that it is very easy to pick up too much product, so you do need a very light hand when applying this, especially when a little really does go a very long way! This powder includes extracts of linseed which moisturises and controls shine, rice lipids which help to hydrate and promote a healthy glow. Finally ribose helps to diminish the appearance of wrinkles and promotes skin's natural radiance.

All of their make-up, especially the foundations have optilight technology which flatters all skin types by softening the look of wrinkles and pores, creating a perfect picture ready face. What more could you want for the perfect selfie! I love the natural look and feel of the make-up so am happy I took the plunge. The only downside is the delivery charge it's £6.50 for a 3-5 day delivery! It is only acceptable if you're doing a large delivery, but the likely hood of that for me is slim!

Always be kind, you never know what personal battle people are fighting.
