This is my last month of Glossybox, as I have decided to cancel sue to the fact that their products are mediocre at best. I have discovered other boxes which I think are much better, such as My Little Box and therefore can't justify the extra cost.

I can't believe it is August already and that I am writing my July Lookback!

My Little Box August 2016 Friends Edition

Each month I say this and I am going to say it again. I love this box, always makes me excited and keeps me happy! they have once again out done themselves, and with this being the last box in my birthday present for Christie's, I couldn't be more pleased that its a Friends box. 

First up is this Batiste Hole Me Hair Spray, R.R.P £4.49 (for 400ml).  I have never tried or heard of Batise hairspray only the dry shampoo and I am not a fan of their dry shampoo. So I was keen to see if this was any better.

This little travel friendly nail kit is so cute! R.R.P 7.50. I love the design and feel of this case and really like that there is a proper nail file in it rather than just the metal one, that you usually get in these kits. It is a perfect kit for anyone that likes to keep on top of their nails.



This months My Little Beauty item was this Summer Lips Lipstick, R.R.P £12.00. With SPF 15 incorporated into the formula it is perfect for the summer and for holidays abroad. The shade looks to be a deep red but when applied it is very light and sheen. It is super moisturising and isn't too sticky. I didn't expect this to last too long on the lips and I wasn't wrong there, but it's not meant too. 



We also received this Kadalys Hydramuse Face Cream, R.R.P £33.50. This is so luxurious and smells absolutely divine, the fragrance is all natural! The formula is thick, however when applied to the skin soaks in easily and locks in moisture leaving your skin silky smooth. You can defiantly tell this is a high end brand. Also can't believe we got this full sized product in the box, well done to the My Little Box Team!

We had a little extra item in this months box, this Propercorn Sweet & Salty Popcorm, R.R.P £1.00. I really like this brand as they are Gluten Free, a real worry I have whenever these boxes send food. The sweet & salty mix is a perfect combination.



I keep forgetting to take photos of each months little bag, however this months was so cute that there was no way I could forget! Just look at it.

Our final item was this Fishbowl Clip for smartphones, R.R.P £12.00. Having never used one I had some difficulty figuring it out, so my Step-dad pointed me in the right direction and I found it so much fun!

The colour works well with my current case too. Perfect for silly selfies or just creating a new perspective on a landscape.

Happy First Birthday to Romanovs Views

This is just a quick post to acknowledge my first year of blogging.

I have done so much in this first year and have grown a lot too. I have strived to become better and without blowing my own trumpet, have created extremely good flatlays. Looking back on my first posts and associated photos to what I am doing now, I can see such a vast improvement. This makes me so happy and makes me feel great in knowing I have made my whole blog look more and more professional.

I am working with more companies now and receiving so many lovely things to review and keep.

I have also created another special bond with my best friend and fellow blogger Christie, which again makes me extremely happy. It is so fabulous to have a friend that enjoys the same past times as me, to share and experience this whole process with. With that I want to give a special thank you to her, for helping me become what I am today and pushing me to become better. She is my inspiration for blogging and creating my flatlays.

I would also like to thank all my readers and followers for helping me grow and for putting up with my poor quality at the start.

I love you all and hope that you continue to follow me on this amazing journey, for many years to come.

TreatBox August 2016

I was so happy when this months TreatBox arrived, it really was a special treat and defiantly brightened my day.

I do really like all the prints we get in each box and love everything. The lights featured in all photos were part of the box too, I was so glad to get these as I had been after some for a while. These particular ones are called Micro Battery Fairy Lights on Silver Wire and can be purchased here.

The first print was it gorgeous "Follow Your Dreams" print with a cloudy background and gold font. Perfect for my new office.

I really liked these little cards, each with their own envelope. I think I will use a two for my board but the You're Magical can defiantly go to one of my family. 

I am a major notebook hoarder and these two mini notebooks are a prefect addition to my growing collection. 

We also received this little badge which can be ironed onto clothing or whatever you want to add it too I guess. Not too sure what I will do with it, as I feel I'm a bit too old for this. 

Also featured are these really cute heart shaped bath bombs, which I think I will be keeping as blog photo props. 

We also received this extremely cute coaster "Follow Your Dreams", again perfect for my office. 

The final its in the box was some Rain Drops sweets, a perfect ending to a perfect box.

Overall I am super happy to have joined this subscription service and urge any stationary lover to join. You can even create a TreatBox for someone special too, which I think is such a great idea and it will be delivered to their door with a hand written personal note.

One Tree Hill Filming Locations

As a massive fan of One Tree Hill, I saw visiting my Dad in Charleston as a great opportunity to go to where OTH was filmed. Wilmington North Carolina. Prior to my visit I spent some time creating the attached PDF map for all to download. I would say that you need a good day to get round everything and would also need a car to get to Tric and Brookes House.
