When Naturigin contacted me to try out their hair dye, I couldn't say no, especially with my early grey hairs peeping through. Being mostly natural I thought it would be ok considering I am trying to grow my hair and when you're doing that colouring is a big no no.
The formula is created from a natural blend with certified organic lemon and mandarin essential oils; along with gentle organic extracts and natural oils. This together protects the hair during the colouring process and gives it natural shine and nourishment.
On top of all that, this dye also boasts the following qualities:
- 12 Natural Oils and Extracts
- Certified Organic Ingredients
- Easy To Use 30 Minute Colouring
- Pleasant and Mild Fragrance
- Against Animal Testing
- For All Types Of Hair
- Professional Quality
The first thing I noticed when I applied this to my hair was that, I found the claim regarding the smell to be absolutely true. The smell was pleasant and didn't leave your eyes watering from the concoction of chemicals.
It was fast acting and I could see the colour working almost immediately.
When I rinsed this out, I was happy to find that the after treatment was a shampoo, something I think all hair dyes should have. The water ran clear fairly quickly, which is something I can never get my hair to do unless you're willing to stand ion the shower for hours on end.
I was pretty happy with the colour, even though I couldn't see an immediate change, the main thing I did notice was that my roots didn't look like they had been coloured very much.
I have to say I can't really tell much of a difference between the two photos above, however I think one could argue that it is a good thing as it's a good colour match.
If you are after a caring hair dye, then this is a must. The one thing I would say is that if you have hair longer than should length then you will need 2 bottles.
