As someone that suffers from serious eye baggage and dark circles that can only be described as a serious case of Panda eyes, I was more than happy to go review the eyewake gel.
One thing I loved about this brand straight off the bat was their campaign and partnership with Women's Aid. For every bottle they sell, they donate a percentage to the charity, a charity that helps women and children in need against Domestic violence and abuse. Something I am very familiar with and take to heart.
Not only that but their ingredients are all natural and has never been tested on animals.
Claims
It aims to target puffy eyes, dark circles and helps to reduce fine lines/ wrinkles around your eyes.
Your skin should be left smoother and more toned, whilst the refreshing and cooling gel leaves your eyes looking and feeling more awake.
Antioxidants within the formula provide ongoing benefits to signs of aging with prolonged use.
How to Use
- Pump the gel out if the bottle and run between your fingers. Always remember to use your ring fingers when applying anything to your under eyes, as this is your most gentle finger and most sensitive area.
- Apply the gel to your under eyes and massage well until you have an even coverage,
- Leave the gel to sink in,
- Feel the benefits and continue with your skin care/ make-up routine.
My Verdict
Did it really have an effect on my dark circles? No not really if I am being completely honest, I didn't see any difference in that regard. That said I did notice that the fine lines I am starting to get, god damn age is finally catching up to me, did seem a lot softer and the skin around my eyes appeared firmer.
I found that using this in the mornings before applying my under eye make-up really helped to create a much smoother and photo-shopped look. With regards to puffiness, I did find that on the days when I had bouts of that; the gel did help to calm it.
Then again that could be the motion of massaging the skin, I do find that a lot of the time if you take the time to massage your creams/ products into the skin you do get better results.
Would I purchase this again? Probably not for the price tag.
If you want to take the plunge, you get 30ml for £34.95 and can purchase it from their website or Amazon.
