Here's the thing with online dating and social media in general, we just don't know how to use it to its full potential. There are so many variants out there it can be hard to choose which one is right for you, let alone which person to pick.
Even with sex dating sites now, the options are limitless, but how do we know which one is right for us? Or whether it is the time to call it quits and give up altogether?
Well, here's my opinion on the later, after much thought on potentially giving it all up and packing it in to become a spinster. I know dramatic right, I just thought actually no, why should I let the world win. Why should I let a few low life loser guys ruin it for me? Yes, it is extremely tough to date, to get to know someone, especially in this day and age.
With this generation the mindset has changed immensely, I am sorry to say it, but gone are the days of wining and dining, of wooing, of courtship. It is the era of online dating I'm afraid.
One thing to bear in mind is that this is now an equal ground kind of world, so guys aren't always going to make the first move. We need to send messages too and not always just leave it to chance.
Many of these sites do however look the same, in terms of the people that are on there and the setup. I have found it highly frustrating when you finally sift through many odd people, to find a few potential matches. Then get hit with the subscribe pop-up to read their message! Are these sites free or not? Yes they may be free to message someone and for that person to message you, but what good is it if you can't read it.
My thinking is why am I going to subscribe to a site that I don't necessarily know is going to be any good, having actually tried a paid reputable site previously and getting no where, I am reluctant to do it for one I know very little about that looks very much like a POF rip off.
That being said, don't give up online just yet, find the perfect site suited to you. There are plenty out there, for many different relationship goals, types or hookups, if that's what you're after. Whilst I may not have had much luck as of yet, it doesn't mean that you or I won't ever!
