This one intrigued me as it is molded, contoured and claims to not actually touch your eyes. All while creating a blackout from any light. The carefully crafted design allow you to still be able to open and move your eyes, which is supposed to enable a better REM sleep.
REM Sleep is one stage of our sleep, rapid eye movement. During this time our eyes move rapidly in many directions. So it is essential for us to not restrict this movement with an eye mask, due to REM sleep making up 20-25% of our sleep.
I can vouch that this mask certainly creates a black out effect and allows you to move your eyes freely. I can see it being pretty good for those that need to look freshly done up and don't want to ruin their make-up whilst on the move.
For someone like me that sleeps on their side a lot, I found it to be a little uncomfortable as it was quite rigid, however once you got used to it and fell asleep it was fine. I was pretty impressed with the fact that it didn't budge all night, I usually wake up in the night and have to hunt for my usual sleep mask.
I thought for £10.00 this was pretty reasonable, especially when you get a little carry case and free ear plugs too. You are generally looking at the £6.00 mark for a decent eye mask, so this wasn't too outrageous in my mind.
If you are in the market for a new mask then I would certainly give this a try, but just be aware that it is slightly rigid and does take some getting used too.
