Happy Birthday to Me in collaboration with My Cupcake Toppers*

Happy Birthday to ME!!!!!!

Every year most people have to bring in cakes to work when it's their Birthday, I mean who came up with that idea?? You should be getting cakes for your Birthday.. Right????

This year I was given the opportunity to work with My Cupcake Toppers, and because my Mum is trying to grow her Cake Business I thought I would make some Personalised Toppers for her Company, Costessey Cakes. Yes I managed to bribe my Mum into making the cakes.
The idea of making your own personalised Cake Toppers is brilliant and they are not too badly priced either!

You can make your own or select some of the already designed toppers. There are several options of finished product from edible icing to rice paper, all gluten free too!

I went for 12 circle  2.1" edible icing toppers, for £6.00 and 4 sheets of 12 circle 2.1" premium rice paper toppers, at £2.20 each. The toppers were already pre-cut, and the premium rice paper is really thick and sturdy. They looked great on my cupcakes.

The personalising tool is super easy to use and really gives you lots of options to make it extra special.

The only downside was that the icing toppers went funny overnight, they kind of bled and became really sticky. The moisture from the icing made them look really poor. I wouldn't buy the icing toppers again, especially for the cost and the quality once put on the cakes, unless they find a new method to making them.
