Welcome to my new Tab, especially for book reviews. I have selected a few of my favourites which will be up for you to read in the next few weeks or so.
This book is the first in a series by Lauren Kate. This series follows Lucinda as she finds out her one true love is actually a fallen angel and that their love can never be.
Lucinda is tormented by sights of shadows, that have followed her all her life, recently she is entangled in a murder that has now sent her to a reform school as she is presumed to be mentally ill. Here she meets a cute guy, Cam, who seems to really want her, but her heart wants another, Daniel, who is trying his best to stay well away from her.
Caught between two men, Lucinda has to overcome obstacles to stay alive and be with the one she is meant to be with.
As the story unfolds, we discover that the two soul mates have spent all of time losing and finding one another, being separated by good and evil forces out of their control.
Further along the series, the angels back story unfolds and we find out why they were stripped of their wings. The story line is gripping and really makes you feel as though you can feel everything Lucinda feels.
I really love a good love story and especially one that overcomes the will of destiny and fate.
