TV Shows that should be on your Bucket List Fantasy Edition Part 1

I watch a lot of TV and will happily carry the label of TV Junkie. I thought I would share with you my all time favourite TV programmes which you should certainly give a watch! I will be doing a 2 part post on Fantasy TV and a 2 part on Drama TV. I hope you enjoy it and it gives you a good idea on what to watch in the future.

Supernatural

This has been running for over 11 years! I have never gotten bored and I constantly love the story line and new adventures the brothers undergo together.

The show follows Sam and Dean through many years of brotherhood, torment and hunting. Constantly saving lives and the world from the supernatural dangers unknown to the majority of the human race.

One of the best additions to the cast is Castiel, first seen in Season 4 Episode 1. You first see him as a hard character, however through the years the brothers soon rub off on him and he becomes one of the family. Even now he still takes things so literally, not understanding human humour and behaviours.

Not only are the cast amazing, they are also renowned for being genuinely down to earth guys and this picture just shows how much chemistry they have as friends on and off screen. Showing Cas's signature smile.

The Vampire Diaries

If you were swept up in the Twilight franchise as I was, and no I am not ashamed, then you will no doubt have heard of this series. It has been running for over 6 seasons now and I think it is rumoured to be coming to an end this October! Boohoo! This series is based on the books by L.J.Smith and although it doesn't follow the books exactly I do still really like each edition in it's own right. I do think that The TV show is slightly more realistic than the books, well as realistic as you can get with Vampires, Werewolves and Witches!

The show follows the Salvatore brothers as they fight for the love of Eleanor Gilbert, it soon develops to be much more than that with the incorporation of many more loveable characters and story lines.  If you love broody males and testing love situations with a bit of action included, I would certainly give this a watch.

The Originals

A spin off from The Vampire Diaries, but is actually an amazing programme in it's own right. I was a massive Vampire Diaries Fan until this came out and I have to say this is by far the better of the two, however you do need to watch it to get the full gist of what's going on in this series.

This series follows the Mikaelson family as they try to take back their home in New Orleans and have to ward off many enemies of the famous Claus Mikaelson the original hybrid! There is also the addition of Hayley who had a one night stand with Claus in The Vampire Diaries and has conceived his child! A miracle baby that has to be hidden from the world...

We see many love stories, much more action and drama in this series, I just love it!

Game of Thrones

One I think nearly everyone has heard of and if you haven't at least seen one episode where have you been locked up!

Based on George R.R. Martin's best-selling book series "A Song of Ice and Fire", this medieval fantasy series is adapted around two powerful families battling to gain the thrown to the seven Kingdoms of Westeros. With Knights, Kings & Queens and Renegades this is truly a deadly power play series with lots of shock and gore. The author is not afraid to kill off loved characters, so don't get too attached to any one character.
This series is great for guys after blood and gore and have just enough love and friendship to keep the girls happy too. If you're like me and like it all, then certainly give this a watch, running for 6 seasons and counting!

Always be kind, you never know what personal battle people are fighting.
