Love Me Beauty October 2016

This months Boutique was called the Enchated Edit and although I don't subscribe every month, I do keep an eye out for what they are offering.

Love Me Beauty are a beauty subscription service, where you buy 60 credits for £10.00 + P&P. You can add additional credits once you have used the original 60, to get extra items you might want. I did this because they had Benefit and Make-up Forever available.

Following the last few months where beauty companies have been focusing strongly on their brow game with new and innovative products, I had to focus on that.

Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil in Light & Medium, R.R.P £18.50. I went for both Medium and Light because I have patchy eyebrows and some areas need a darker colour than others. I loved the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer, so thought these couldn't be much different. In all honest I couldn't really tell the difference between the light and medium shades, however they matched me perfectly and are so easy to apply. They stayed on all day with the help of the Ready Set Brow gel.

Benefit Ready Set Brow, R.R.P £18.50. Having read up on this invisible setting gel for brows, I had to see what all the hype was about. It has been advertised as a game changer for brows, in the same way we worry about lipstick bleeding and eye shadow creasing or falling out, we don't really want fly away brows. This product is great, it sets almost instantly and locks in my eyebrow product for all day coverage. I love the applicator as it brushes through your brows and makes them look flawless.

Benefit Roller Lash, R.R.P £19.50. I am quite lucky in that my lashes are naturally curled and long, however every girl loves a little bit more definition and volume. This mascara offers just that, having been an avid 'They're Real' mascara wearer for a while, I thought it would be nice to give this one a go. The applicator is amazing, it separated my lashes and gave a natural curl that lasted all day.

Make Up Forever Artist Rouge Matte Lipstick, R.R.P £17.00. This lipstick promises to leave lips with a matte-velvet look, with high precision colour. It is supposed to last for 10 hours. It has been developed to reveal the artist within, it is easy to apply with one stroke application. I was a little disappointed when I received this, the smell is very cheap and plastic. I like to smell lipsticks as strange as that sounds, but it does sit right under your nose so you want it to be good, I also think that you can smell if a lipstick is cheap or not. given that this is a high end brand you would have thought it would have had a similar smell to the Mac lipsticks I usually wear, however nope I didn't. I was quite lucky in that this is similar to Mac Viva Glam II and therefore had a lip liner that worked well, Mac Brick, but even with the lip liner the lipstick bled. It didn't last the 10 hours specified, however did stay on for a few hours before needing to be reapplied. Overall I am not happy with this product and think that for a high end brand this should have been better.

Always be kind, you never know what personal battle people are fighting.
